Parking Permits

Andium Homes owns a significant number of Car Parks and we apply certain rules in respect of who can and cannot park on these estates.  Some estates require a special permit in order to park and some are merely reserved for residents. There is signage on each site specifying whether or not a parking permit is required.

It is important that no vehicle is parked on our land unless it is authorised and conforms with the requirements of the signage on the land.

A vehicle will also be considered unauthorised if:-

  • It has been parked dangerously,
  • It has been parked without due consideration for others
  • It has been parked on a yellow line or over a hatched area
  • It is not in regular use
  • It has been abandoned
  • It is not insured

Where unauthorised vehicles are identified they will be subject to removal at the discretion of Andium Homes and impounded.  Impounded vehicles can be claimed by the registered owner following payment of a release fee of £120.00 together with daily storage charges of £20.00

All parking related enquiries can be addressed with our Parking Management Contractor, G4S Limited on 500795.

No charge is made for a parking permit.  However, permits will only be issued to tenants who are observing the requirements of their tenancy agreement and permits will be withheld or cancelled where there are persistent breaches of tenancy such as unaddressed rent arrears or anti-social behaviour.  Every permit holder is expected to observe the terms and conditions detailed on the application form.

Temporary permits

If your vehicle is off the road being repaired or serviced and you are driving a loan car, you should obtain a temporary permit to cover the loan car. You will need to provide a letter from your garage confirming that your vehicle is being fixed and how long this process will take. Your old permit will need to be returned to us until your car has been fixed.

Medical permits

If you have a serious medical condition which restricts your ability to leave your home without assistance, a medical short stay parking permit may be issued to a family member or friend who provides you with that assistance.  To request this type of permit, you must complete an application form and submit a letter from your doctor explaining your circumstances and confirming the need for a medical permit.

When applying for a medical permit, please bear in mind:

  1. only one can be issued per household
  2. permit holders can park for a maximum of three hours in any 24 hour period
  3. medical permits will not be issued if your household already holds a standard permit
  4. renewals or extensions will require a new application form and an up to date doctor’s letter

Parking in ‘Disabled Parking’ areas

Vehicles parking in spaces which are marked as being reserved for ‘disabled drivers’ must display the ‘Blue Disabled Driver Badge’ issued by the Parish.

All parking related enquiries can be addressed with our Parking Management Contractor, G4S Limited on 500795.
