Severe Weather Warning – Heavy Rainfall

Jersey Met are forecasting more unsettled, wet and windy weather tomorrow (Thursday 4th January) with a period of potentially prolonged and rather heavy rainfall from early morning to early afternoon.

What you can do to protect your homes and belongings from flooding:

For our residents in Grands Vaux, as a precaution, consider moving valuable items to upper floors.
Move vehicles away from Nicholson Close Carpark and ideally to higher ground. Please do not block in other people’s driveways or roads.
In an emergency – contact the Emergency Services on 999.
If a Red Weather Warning is in place – stay at home and only essential or emergency travel to take place.

What Andium Homes will do

We will set up sandbags and flood defences at Grands Vaux on Wednesday afternoon (3rd January).

The drains on our estates have been regularly inspected and cleaned and checked in the last 24 hours. The Parishes and Government of Jersey Infrastructure Department have also checked their drains.

Please contact the Emergency Services Control Centre on 999 if you see any evidence of flooding or require immediate assistance.
