GR Langlois Ltd, Press Release
200 New Affordable Homes for St Clement
GR Langlois Ltd is delighted to confirm that, as part of a development of 200 new affordable homes on the Samares Nursery site in St Clement, 40 three bedroom houses will be available to first time buyers to purchase using the Andium Homebuy Scheme. The site was re-zoned for affordable homes in 2014 and GR Langlois have now submitted plans for a mixed development of 1 and 2 bedroom low rise apartments and 3 bedroom houses.
Andium Homes will purchase the 40 First Time Buyer homes and manage their onward sale through the Homebuy scheme, to those who qualify through Band 5 of the Affordable Housing Gateway. The 160 social rented homes will also be purchased by Andium Homes, to add to its existing portfolio. The development is low density and will provide a generous amount of amenity space. It has good access to local schools as well as the existing public transport network. A landscaped linear park and an extensive network of cycle and walking paths will also be created on the site, linking it to surrounding areas. All of the homes will be highly insulated and are designed to be economical to run and maintain. If plans are approved it is anticipated that work can commence on site in the spring of next year, with the building programme taking approximately two years to complete.

This is the first project we will be developing for Andium Homes and we look forward to working with the team at Andium and producing a high quality successful development”.
