Les Cinq Chênes is an important community with a proud history and strong neighbourhood spirit. Over the coming years, we will be investing significantly in the estate to improve existing homes, provide additional social rented housing and create better spaces for current and future residents.

Project Overview

After reviewing a number of options, we have developed a phased plan that allows improvements to be delivered over time while minimising disruption to residents and maintaining the strong community that exists at Les Cinq Chênes.

The programme builds on work already completed and focuses on improving existing homes and creating a better environment for everyone who lives on the estate.

Progress So Far

Phase 1 – Completed
West Side Homes

  • 30 of the 31 homes on the west side of the estate have been sold.
  • Completed between 2023 and 2024.

Phase 2 – Underway
Clos des Friquettes

Construction of 38 new homes is currently underway on the fields to the north of the estate.

Expected completion:

  • First homes available: September 2026
  • Remaining homes available: February 2027

These homes will help provide relocation opportunities for residents affected by future phases.

Support for Residents in Phase 3

Residents living in homes included within Phase 3 will need to move permanently while the refurbishment works to be carried out.

Our priority is to support residents throughout this process and help them find a home that meets their needs.

What support will be available?

Dedicated one-to-one support

  • Personal housing discussions
  • Assistance with relocation options
  • Opportunity to move into one of the new homes at Clos des Friquettes (where suitable)
  • Alternative housing options if preferred

Residents affected by this phase will be contacted directly and individually by our team.

Community Investment

Alongside improvements to homes, we are working with the Jersey Youth Service and young people from the estate to provide a temporary youth hub during construction works.

Our ambition is to create a longer-term facility as part of the wider improvement programme, giving young people a dedicated space within the community. We will also provide improved green open spaces for the use and enjoyment of residents.

Frequently Asked Questions

I live in a Phase 3 property. When will I hear from Andium?

Residents affected by Phase 3 will be contacted directly to discuss individual circumstances, housing needs and any relocation options. If you believe you should have heard from us but have not, please contact our Client Services Team on 500700.

I live in a Phase 3 property and my circumstances have changed. What should I do?

Please speak to our team as soon as possible. We will discuss any changes to your household circumstances and ensure we understand your housing needs before future moves are planned.

I live in a future phase. Does this affect me now?

No. There are currently no immediate changes for residents in Phases 4 and 5.
As plans develop, we will keep residents informed and provide opportunities to learn more about the proposals and share feedback.

Will Andium continue to carry out repairs and maintenance?

Yes. We will continue to maintain all homes in line with our normal service standards, regardless of future plans for the estate.
Repairs can be reported in the usual way via the Andium App or by contacting our Repairs Team.

Will there be disruption during construction?

As with any construction project, there may be periods of increased activity. Our contractors will work closely with residents to minimise disruption wherever possible and ensure everyone is kept informed.
