Andium Homes recognises the quality of life benefits that a mobility scooter can bring however, the majority of our homes were designed before their introduction and so unable to safely accommodate them. Through our stock modernisation and refurbishment programme we will seek to provide storage and charging facilities where possible. In the interim and in the interests of fire safety, no storage or charging of mobility scooters will be allowed in any internal communal area. Before purchasing a mobility scooter, you should seek advice from our maintenance team.
Where a medical need exists in support of a mobility scooter and your home is not capable of safely accommodating one, you may apply for a move to a more appropriate home via the Affordable Housing Gateway.
